You may, or may not, suffer from all of these symptoms. It depends on how far along your Avoidant Personality has progressed. This is the stage or progression of the condition.
- You cannot stand even the slightest hint of criticism
- You cannot stand to be rejected, or even the thought that you might be rejected
- You are so terrified of going outside that it paralyzes you
- You need to control everything
- You are anxious about everything to the point of having such horrible anxiety attacks that you feel like you can’t even breathe
- You get so depressed that you have no hope, no joy and can't even get out of bed
- You avoid social situations at all costs
- You have a lot of difficulties holding a job
- You feel like everyone is better than you
- You feel like you are worthless
- You go to great lengths to be alone
- You hate yourself
- You think everyone is out to get you
- You have great difficulty being intimate
- You feel like you are the only person in the world that has the issues you face
- You feel like someone or something is controlling you
- You think about suicide all the time and have tried it
- You avoid family gatherings
- You hate being yelled at
- You think that everything will always go wrong
- You don't trust anyone, even your partner
- When there is a fight, or disagreement with your partner or friend, you are unable to stand up for yourself
- You suffer from addictive behaviors like porn, video games, work, or sex
- You don't sleep well
- You have diet consisting of junk food, candy, and meat and potatoes
- You have a diet consisting of fruits and veggies only
- You have a lot of nightmares
- You have developed compulsive behaviors like counting tiles in offices, making circles with your fingers and locking doors multiples times
